The iconic Totoro bus stop from Studio Ghibli's beloved anime film "My Neighbor Totoro" exists in reality! Located in front of the Totoro Forest (Totoro no Mori) in Oita Prefecture, western Kyushu, the stop offers a whimsical glimpse into the world of the enchanting film.

The name of this forest, "Totoro no Mori," is either a coincidence or a source of inspiration for Hayao Miyazaki's animated film "My Neighbor Totoro." Upon entering the forest, one is greeted by a plethora of Totoro dolls adorning the branches of the trees.

And the rocks, with fans helping to write and place them in piles. Totoro's eyelashes are long, and there are wooden sticks too. The forest is very lush, with small leaves growing all over the trees.

A small bridge allows passage, where a cat bus is secretly hidden.

Upon arrival, another Japanese family was also exploring the area. The children seemed excited, running around energetically.

Which Ghibli Studio characters are in other Ghibli films? Can you remember which characters are in which films?

At the entrance to the forest, there are small coffee shops and souvenir shops. It's good that this small village is visited by people and generates income.

A small group of children stood to welcome them.

Those interested in visiting the location can find it at the following coordinates: https://maps.google.com/?cid=11628217293660495518

Note: It is quite difficult to get there. You have to drive quite a distance (actually, you can skip it if you want, because it is difficult to get there).

At the end, I took a sneaky picture of the entrance sign for you. From the main road, follow the signs until you reach トトロの森 (Totoro no Mori).
