Dive into Paradise: A 2-Day Escape to Koh Ta Fuk

Imagine waking up in a luxurious air-conditioned tent on a secluded island, surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life. This dream becomes reality on a 2-day, 1-night diving adventure to Koh Ta Fuk, a hidden gem off the coast of Myanmar.

Embark on a journey to explore the Emerald Heart Islands, where you'll encounter playful clownfish just steps from the shore. Immerse yourself in the underwater world, discovering a kaleidoscope of coral reefs and diverse marine species.

This unforgettable escape takes place from February 17th to 20th, 2018, offering a chance to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories.

Our journey begins in Ranong Province. Whether you choose to drive yourself or fly directly to Ranong, the choice is yours. We opted to fly and landed at Ranong Airport. On our first day, we checked into The B Ranong (FB: https://www.facebook.com/thebranong).

In the afternoon, we rented a motorbike for 250 baht per day and drove around Ranong city. Recommended places to visit include: Kiang Talay Restaurant, the lighthouse, Khlong Som Paen Beach Dam, Ranong Canyon, Raksa Warin Hot Spring, and the walking street for local food.

Day 1

In the morning, a van from Grande Travel will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Grand Andaman Pier in Ranong Province. Upon arrival, you will register and be greeted with a selection of refreshments, including snacks, hot coffee, cookies, stir-fried noodles, rice porridge, chrysanthemum tea, and roselle juice.

The guide will then provide details about the trip, the itinerary, and how to wear a life jacket.

After a 45-50 minute speedboat ride, we arrived at our first destination: Horseshoe Island. Here, the guide led us on our first snorkeling session before we headed to the island for lunch.

We then ascended to the island for lunch at midday.

For those who don't want to dive, there are kayaks available for paddling on the beach.

In the afternoon, we traveled to "Koh Ta Fuk", a distance of approximately 3 km. It took about 10 minutes to reach the highlight of our trip. The first thing we encountered on the island was incredibly fine sand and crystal-clear water.

After checking in, we explored our air-conditioned tents. The campsite has 20 tents in total, 4 large and 16 small, all equipped with air conditioning.

On Koh Ta Fuk, you can enjoy kayaking and diving at Ao Tao, which is located on the right side of the beach. If you're lucky, you might even spot cuttlefish in this area.

The beach at dusk offers a romantic setting to watch the sunset.

Electricity is available on the island from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Importantly, when the electricity is on, there is also Wifi available so you can post beautiful pictures and make your friends jealous.

During the dark moon phase at night, the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye.

Day 2

The second morning on Koh Tafeu, after breakfast, we had half a day before the boat picked us up for two more dives. Those who wanted to could kayak on the beach or go snorkeling.

In the afternoon, a speedboat will take us to two more diving spots. The first spot is Emerald Heart, which is known for its blacktip reef sharks and soft corals.

Point 2 is Koh Yan Cheuk, where we also encountered sea turtles.

The speedboat will then take you to Koh Son, where you can swim and have lunch at the Grand Andaman Hotel. The hotel is located on the Burmese side of the island and has a casino for those who enjoy gambling. Around 8pm, you will board the boat and return to the pier in Ranong Province. This concludes the trip.
