Tomorrow is a holiday. Do you have any travel plans yet?
If there is a condition that ....
1. Limited budget
- No private car.
3. Seeking nearby destinations around Bangkok.
4. Seeking to perform meritorious deeds and capture aesthetically pleasing moments for social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
The temple Wat Neng Loei Yi 2 in Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi province, could be another interesting case for you to consider.
We decided to visit here because it is close to Bangkok and the transportation is quite convenient. Actually, we have been planning to come here with friends for a long time, but we never had the chance. We thought it would be difficult to get here, so we didn't dare to come.
Today, seeing an opportunity, I decided with my friends... this time we have to come...
For transportation, we opted for public transportation, specifically a shared van. We boarded the van in front of The Mall Ngamwongwan, choosing one with a sign indicating its destination as Bang Yai. However, for certainty, we selected a van with a yellow stripe across the windshield reading "Mu Ban Sue Trong" (Honest Village). This ensured a direct route. We informed the driver that we wished to alight at Banana Village. The fare was approximately 25 baht.
Cross the skywalk and you will find motorcycle taxis waiting. Tell them you want to go to Wat Leng Noei Yi. The ride won't take long, and it will cost 15 baht. You will be amazed by the grandeur of this place.
For visitors, please dress modestly as this is a religious site. However, if you happen to be wearing a skirt or shorts that are too short, the temple will provide you with a cloth to wear.
We explored the temple grounds, paying respects to the sacred objects at each location and taking photos as souvenirs. We particularly enjoyed this site due to its vibrant colors, typical of Chinese temples, which resulted in colorful photographs.
The atmosphere here is quite peaceful, perhaps because it is after the Chinese New Year period when many people visit temples to pray for good fortune. When we looked at reviews before coming here, we saw many pictures of tourists and people praying, so we were initially worried that it would be crowded. However, when we arrived, it was very comfortable. The atmosphere was quiet, the breeze was cool, and luckily the sky was clear today, so the weather was perfect.
While taking photos, we will find places to rest periodically, sit and enjoy the breeze, admire the scenery, and upload photos to Facebook. We can stay here all day, but sometimes we may need to be a little more reserved, as there are monks and novices here. When taking photos, we need to be mindful of our surroundings. When sitting or walking, we need to be careful and not just focus on taking photos.
The return journey may be slightly more difficult than the outward journey. We haven't been able to find any evidence yet, haha. Because at that time, we chose to hail a taxi to the front of the alley and then hail a van back. So we didn't have the chance to try the songthaew that was parked in front of the temple.
For those who are still free and haven't found a place to relax during the upcoming holiday in a few hours, you can try visiting Leng Noei Yi 2 Temple. You're guaranteed to love it.
