Unbelievable! It's hard to believe that this is the "Gulf of Thailand".

“Koh Mak” is an island that I have heard about for a long time but never had the opportunity to visit. Many people believe that the “Gulf of Thailand” is not as beautiful as the “Andaman Sea”. I admit that I thought the same way, but when I arrived, my mind changed immediately. It is incredibly beautiful.

After researching accommodations in various locations, we stumbled upon CoCoCape, a beachfront property with a charming hut-like design and reasonable pricing. The highlight, however, was the wooden bridge extending into the sea, complete with a small bar. This was the perfect spot to relax, gaze at the ocean, soak in the cool breeze, bask in the gentle sunlight, and watch the sunset (although the clouds were a bit thick during our visit).

Koh Mak CoCo Cape is a renowned resort on Koh Mak Island, having been established for over 20 years. Despite its longevity, the resort maintains a modern appearance and continuously expands its offerings with new accommodations. During our visit, construction was underway for an additional 3-4 buildings.

Each accommodation unit is unique, with options ranging from single-story to two-story layouts.

The bedroom was clean and inviting, with the fresh scent of flowers that the accommodation had thoughtfully arranged to welcome us.

The restaurant offers both Thai and Western cuisine. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable for a resort island. The best part is that the food is truly delicious, making it a worthwhile experience.

The water is very clear and clean.

During my conversation with the locals, I learned that Koh Mak, despite its small size, boasts a strong sense of community. The island's residents work together diligently to preserve their environment. As responsible tourists, it's our duty to respect their efforts and avoid damaging the island's natural beauty.

The highlight of this place is the bridge, which is quite long and allows you to play in the water around it. The water is crystal clear, clean, and not too deep.

You don't have to stay here, you can just come and take pictures. The people here are friendly and you can walk in and out of different accommodations. Small islands are often lovely.

This is the true color of the water. We took the photo around noon when the sun was at its peak. The seawater must be under strong sunlight to capture its beauty.

To truly appreciate the coral reefs, divers must venture further out into the open water.

This small bar has a great atmosphere, especially in the evenings when it's packed with people. It's a fun place to meet new friends from all over the world.

Another must-do activity is watching the sunset. Today, there were a lot of clouds, but on the first day, it rained. 55555

A hearty breakfast is essential for a productive day.

Let's check out the swimming pool! It's open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It's not too small and not too big, but there are plenty of beautiful angles.

While the lack of a beautiful sandy beach at the resort may not be ideal for swimming, the presence of various rocks creates a unique and picturesque landscape that is equally stunning for photography.

In conclusion, the beauty of Thailand's seas, including both the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, is undeniable. We encourage all Thai people to visit and experience these wonders, and to contribute to their preservation so that future generations can enjoy them as well. Koh Mak, with its stunning beauty, beckons us to return and explore its underwater world. Until then, we bid you farewell.

For transportation, we drove ourselves this time. The driving time was around 5 hours, depending on your driving speed. We started from Bang Kapi and arrived at Laem Ngop Pier. Parking is available for 50 baht per night. We then took a speedboat for another hour. The roundtrip boat fare was 900 baht per person. (The boat schedule will be included in the comments.)

Those seeking a slow-paced life, listening to music by the beautiful, uncrowded sea, should consider visiting Koh Mak at least once in their lifetime.

Undoubtedly, you will not be disappointed...
